Tania van de Merwe is Wikus wife and Piet Smit daughter.
She was married with Wikus several years ago, but his dad makes her believe he´s dead. After Wikus escapes, she calls him telling that she doesn´t want to see him again (because the fake sexual acusations on him). But later she calls again regretting of it, but really is an MNU plan to localize him. After Wikus is missing for long time she says she still loves him, and even keep a flower she believes Wikus made for her.
